Very Vickers: Diana launches her second collection of Mad Men-inspired clothes

Diana launched her first collection, Dee V, in May and it sold so well she is already modelling her next selection of girlie dresses.
Again, the collection is inspired by the fashionable TV series Man Med - however, the pastels of her spring time collection have largely been replaced by a strong palette that is both brighter and more similar to Peggy, Joan and Betty's autumnal tones.
There are a couple of minor misses in the collection. Even Diana cannot pull off the twee purple sequin pocket dress (£49). But we covet her thick mustard-coloured coat (£89). As the singer says: 'This is a real statement piece and I love the fact that it looks fantastic belted or without.'
The collections stand-out pieces, though, are the bright mini dresses.

Designers share what to wear to summer parties

We asked designers from three labels what to wear to parties in their summertime playgrounds. Here's what Tommy Hilfiger had to say about what to wear in Nantucket, Mass., Monique Lhuillier on Malibu, Calif., and Mark Badgley and James Mischka, of Badgley Mischka, on Lexington, Ky.
• Mark Badgley-James Mischka on Lexington: The ladies of Lexington have a busy calendar and they like to dress up for each and every event, according to Badgley and Mischka, who make their second home there in the summer.
"They like pretty, not edgy," Badgley said. "They like to feel like they look good."
A pool party would be a great time to take out a long, strapless patio dress, perhaps with just a little beading, which will add glamour to the look without pulling out extra costume jewelry. A lot of bling doesn't go over with this crowd for daytime or family events, Badgley said. Pearls, however, are a must-have, as are a few fine pieces of jewelry.
Other unwritten rules for parties include no jeans when you are a guest to someone's home. Don't wear all black, either.
"All black doesn't migrate to Lexington. It's so New York," he said.
But the women there love a good hat, Mischka said.
The Kentucky Derby in May kicks off the social summer season and that's when the most ornate hats come out, but it would be common to wear a floppy straw hat to outdoor, day-lit parties.

Because it's hot in Kentucky, people gravitate toward light fabrics and breezy shapes, not a suit — for men or women, Mischka said, but even if it's a barbecue with lots of red sauce and the other fixings, the guests will have a respectful, genteel look.

Meet the new Kate Moss… her little sister, Lottie

Lottie looked every inch the English rose as she posed for pictures alongside 14 other bridesmaids at the marriage of her 37-year-old sibling to rock guitarist Jamie Hince. One top model agent told the Standard that Lottie could "definitely make a model".
And her mother revealed Lottie is already modelling vintage clothing in the family store in rural West Sussex - and has not ruled out a career in high fashion.
Kate's father Peter Moss, and his second wife, Lottie's mother Inger, own 17th-century Toll House shop in Lindfield, selling vintage clothes and homeware.
Two months ago the shop posted shots on its Facebook page of Lottie wearing a series of vintage prom dresses. Mrs Moss told the Standard that Lottie was in contact with Kate and added: "She's too young [to model professionally]. When she is old enough it will be her decision."
Model agent Carole White, who launched Naomi Campbell's career but famously turned down Kate Moss, said Lottie had the looks for a modelling career. She said: "Lottie looks beautiful and fresh - a very English rose look. Her mother is quite right to wait until she is 14 and has developed more but she has wonderful features and could definitely make a model. Generally you need the height. Kate is an exception to the rule because models need to be 5ft 9in to 5ft 11in. I think Lottie would make a lovely young model."
Ms White, who runs Premier Model Management and was called "mum" by Campbell, admitted in an earlier interview that she had rejected 5ft 7in Moss early in her career because she was too short, admitting that at the time she "just couldn't see it".
Moss was spotted returning from a holidayin the Bahamas with her father. At 16 she was launched into the modelling stratosphere with a shoot for Face magazine, which showed the young model half-naked on a beach.

The Italian, who trained with fashion legends Emanuel Ungaro and Roberto Capucci, pulled off an astonishing haute couture debut showing 45 perfectly formed day and eveningwear garments with the ease of someone twice his age and experience.
Watched by a posse of gorgeous 'it' girls - Caroline Sieber, Astrid Munoz and Olivia Palermo - who crammed into the Galerie de la Madeleine, in the rue Boissy d'Anglas, wearing new season autumn/winter 2011 wool mini dresses despite the blistering heat, Valli treated his audience to a fashion feast of unadulterated glamour.
Many Valli signatures were here, including winter white caped jackets and Dolce Vita ballerina-length chiffon dresses in vintage shades of rich magenta and coral, translated into unmistakably couture fabrics with dazzling effect.
Although this designer has dabbled with demi and semi couture in the past, both in Fifties feel and textiles, the confidence and clarity with which Valli showed in this show will ensure him entry into the big brand superleague of designers in the very near future we feel.
His day and eveningwear contained so much workmanship much of it produced it's own 'sound-effects' audible over the Vivaldi-esque soundtrack playing in the long, thin chapel like venue.
Real coral and sequin-encrusted jackets jangled. Jet and crystal beads crunched. Tiny lily of the valley petal petals quivered just like real flowers.
As well as an evening section that harked back to an age when women dressed for formal evening functions which required long, gowns with matching cloaks, he offered power-suits brimming with his particular take on maximal minimalism. The little girl who adores fictional princesses, especially Cinderella, is excited to meet a real-life princess.
"It is going to be awesome," she said.
When Lauren, the daughter of Lisa and Blair Ferguson, entered a poster contest she had no idea she would be selected to be an official flower bearers.
The only student in her Grade 3 class to enter, she drew an elaborate scene that included a lobster, lobster trap, fishing boat, Confederation Bridge, Cow's Ice Cream and, of course, "Anne of Green Gables."
A week ago the call came from the premier's office that Lauren, the youngest of the Ferguson clan, would see the world's most famous newlyweds up close.
Lauren knew little about the Royal Family before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding, which she and her mother watched.
"I liked it because she was really pretty. I liked her wedding dress and all the ladies with their hats and fancy dresses on."
Lauren's name was randomly drawn from the poster contest entries. Her poster was on display this morning at Province House and viewed by the Duke and Duchess during their tour of the historic landmark.
Lauren will be on the tarmac at Summerside's airport where she will give the Duchess of Cambridge a bouquet before she board's the airplane.
"She has to wait for the princess to shake her hand first, but it is fairly low-key," said mom Lisa.
Lauren plans on giving the couple a curtsey after presenting the bouquet.
"It's not hard to do," said the little girl who showed off her perfect curtsey. "I'll probably say this to Kate, that she's really, really pretty."
Lauren will be nervous, but knows she's doing something very few get to do.
"Maddy, my friend, said she was so jealous."
Lisa said today is a day she and her family will never forget.
"It is something that she will remember forever and tell her kids and grandkids," said the mother. "Maybe when another princess or king or queen arrives she'll remember this day and pass that along." ball gowns
